July '08 - Fun trip to Connecticut to visit family and dear friends.
While we were there, Dan got to play softball with his old team, and I do mean OLD. They're all middle-aged now, not quite as athletic as they used to be!
Jacob was baptized while we were there too.
From there, the kids and I went on to Montreal for a week or so to visit Grandma and Grandpa T., where we celebrated Paige's 6th birthday. Paige has informed me that this year she has to celebrate her birthday here at home with her friends since she didn't get to do that last year.
August '08 - Pretty uneventful, I think. Can't remember anything too exciting happening. Oh yeah, we found Wally. Actually, Wally found us. Wally is the stray dog that we took in. The kids love him, and even I think he's alright. He's so good, we still can't figure out why someone would have dumped him. Paige , who used to think anything with four legs and a tail had only one purpose..... to terrify her, even loves him. As you can see below...
Of course, school started up again, but no one would call that exciting. Except maybe Caleigh, you know, being all grown up and in middle school and all.
September '08 - DISNEYWORLD!! Another fabulous trip to one of our favorite places! This trip we were joined by Grandma & Grandpa T., Steve & Janet and their kids, and our Florida cousins - George, Lucille, Sandy, JR & Katelinn! Lots of good memories made.
Also in September, Jacob started another season of fall baseball. He moved up from coach-pitch to kid-pitch baseball.
October '08 - Halloween, that's about it for October. Oh, and more baseball of course.
We went trick-or-treating with all of our neighborhood friends. So fun for the kids!
November '08 - We transferred Jacob and Paige from the (terrible) elementary school that we are districted for, to their new excellent elementary school near the middle school that I work at. We are so much happier now with the quality of education they're receiving. The other school was a joke. I just wish I'd have known earlier that we could transfer them (a perk of being a school district employee).
To be continued...
