While we were there, we got to visit with our good friends in West Haven. It was good to get together again. It was as if we'd never left.

The kids really loved seeing their old friends. Hopefully someday they'll come see us in Texas.
We also saw our good friends in Valhalla - Dave and Deb P. and their boys, Elliot & Henry. We spent the day with them at Playland in Rye, NY.
The kids got to ride in Deb's convertible on the way there. I think that ride was more thrilling for them than the amusement park rides!
This ride is called "The Whip" and from the looks of it, it's probably one of the original rides from when the park opened in 1928. Paige sure loved it though!
What's a trip to the amusement park without cotton candy?
