Uncle Steve and the kids came over to share in the celebration.
Also, Jacob's friend, John, back in CT sent us Flat Stanley in the mail. We need to take Stanley to different places of interest in our area and write a little about them and then send him back so that John's class can learn about our area. We're excited to be able to help him out with his project. A few years ago when Caleigh was in second grade (with the same teacher that John has - we loved Mrs. Mathews!) she had to do the same thing. Caleigh sent her Flat Stanley to Steve and Janet, who were living in Madison, Wisconsin at the time. Caleigh was excited for her class to learn about Madison and to have her aunt help her out. Thanks again Janet!
We took Stanley to see the bluebonnets which are all in bloom right now. The bluebonnet is the state flower.
A few pictures of the kids without Stanley...
