Oh Christmas Tree....

We went to a tree farm in search of the perfect Christmas tree to cut down as we've done every year since we've been married. Well, apparently here in Central Texas there are only 2 types of trees to cut - Virginia Pine (those long-needled fat trees) or Leyland Cypress (looks like a cedar-type bush - like the ones our old neighbor, Guisseppe, had along the fence by his driveway. Except these are shaped like Christmas trees. Anyway, we didn't end up cutting down our tree after all because those trees weren't like the Christmas trees we're used to having. So the picture above is all we came away from the farm with.

We ended up buying a pre-cut Fraser fir at H-E-B (local grocery store). It's much nicer than what we had to choose from at the tree farm.
